Kim Hlavka, NCC, LPC, SAC, CCTP

Director of Clinical Services • Therapist • She/Her/Hers

Kim specializes in treating adults with complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Kim strives to be trauma informed in her work. It is especially important to her that she (and the entire counseling team) ask what happened to a person, rather than what is wrong with a person when assessing and working with a client. She believes that when we help our clients to see that the symptoms and problems they have been struggling with are an understandable response to the traumatic experiences they have had, they can begin the journey to thriving, rather than just surviving.
Kim received her Bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and her master's degree in community counseling at University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. She has been licensed through the state of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor and as a Substance Abuse Counselor since 2004.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 cats. She enjoys being creative, and makes a lot of her own jewelry. She is an avid reader, and especially enjoys listening to audiobooks.
