Mee Vang Xiong
Asian Outreach & Victim Advocate • She/Her/Hers
Mee assists, advocates, and supports teenage and adult survivors. She grew up in Wisconsin with her Hmong refugee family since 1996. She is an alumni of Fox Valley Technical College with an Associates Degree in Meeting & Event Management and University of Wisconsin Stout with her Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. Prior to working at Reach, Mee taught and worked with children including children with disabilities, specifically children on the Autism Spectrum. In terms of the Asian or Hmong community wheel of volunteerism, Mee has helped a variety of non-profit organizations across Wisconsin including hosting successful cultural events for a great number of years through Hmong dancing, cultural, and community arts!
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and especially her fur baby, Leo. Mee is also a Hmong cultural and traditional dancer and fashion designer. She enjoys teaching children and teenagers from all walks of life about culture through traditional dancing, food, music, and fashion. She also enjoys spending her free time painting, drawing, sewing Asian fashion garments, and reading fiction-fantasy novels.
